how to invalidate the cache

hi all,

i am using jboss treecache in hibernate, how can i invalidate the cache ( dirty the cache). for example if there is an application which doesnot use the hibernate and if that populates the database. itreecache will be incinsitent with the database ...so i want to know if there is a method manually invalidate the cache.

As far as I know, invalidation is scheduled to be included in version 1.2.1 or 1.3; time will tell which.
