Oracle connection is lost after time out

I am currently using jboss-3.0.0_tomcat-4.0.3 and connecting to oracle 9i. After a timeout I loose my connection and get exception when my application tries to get a connection from the data source. Any suggestions.

What more you need. Please let me know. Looks like I am not able to reconnect after time out.
