Reconnect disconnected as400 datasource.

Hi all,

Is there a way to make an as400 datasource reconnect if it has been disconnected. For now the only workaround I can see is restarting the jboss server.

I have seen other threads regarding this question but they were mainly relating to Orcale datasources.

I am running version 3.0.7

Write and contribute an AS400ExceptionSorter. It will take you the time to look up the fatal exceptions + 5 minutes to write. Use the OracleExceptionSorter as a model.

Hi David,

The AS400ExceptionSorter solution would solve my problem but it is specific to Jboss 3.2 and we are not yet ready to move to 3.2 due to the changes in the classloaders.

Is there another solution that I can implement in 3.0.7 to solve this?

Hi all,

I am posting again because this missing feature in my code is becoming a problem.

I just need confirmation that it can/can not be achieved using versions prior to 3.2 so that I can look for another solution if necessary.

Was this issue ever resolved? We are also not ready to move to 3.2.1 and would like to know if a solution is availabled for 3.0.8.
