dosapati Jul 8, 2003 9:54 AM (in response to maraos)Yes, I agree with you. Even it is a good product it can not be used without proper documentation that comes with the product. If it is provide for the free of cost, it will get more popular and more usable.
I heard so much about JBoss, but I couldnt find any example which covers all the J2EE aspects to try on that. I know that Sun provides one complete example Petstore, but atlease that example should be modified to make it work with the JBoss. What do you say? -

will.houck Jul 11, 2003 1:58 PM (in response to maraos)I agree with the comment about Sun's Petstore app. I think it would be really great to have some good documentation on how to make it work on JBoss/MySQL. Hey, I'd even be willing to pay a few bucks for it:) Does anyone know if something like that is available?

juhalindfors Jul 14, 2003 8:10 AM (in response to maraos)The documentation that covers 3.2.x is available for purchase from the 'Documentation' page: http://jboss.org/index.html?module=html&op=userdisplay&id=docs/index

If I have to pay some money for documentation for a so-called free product, I prefer to buy a product rather than buy a so-called free product documentation. -

No free lunch buddy. Believe me...that few bucks you pay for documentation is worth it. -

vashistvishal Aug 23, 2003 2:30 AM (in response to maraos)Paid documentaion is pretty good. And the money you pay is nothing as compared to licensising fees for other products.
And these guys have to make money to survive, they are not doing it for charity, but for that money value is pretty good.
Cheers............
