1. How to integrate JAAS Authorization into JBoss Security Fram
starksm64 Jun 5, 2003 7:16 AM (in response to hakanberlin)The security manager interfaces only address the declarative security required by j2ee. To integrate the JAAS Subject based authorization is really a seperate level of security that could be done via an interceptor for ejbs and a filter for servlets.

We have run into a situation where the J2EE specification alone seems not powerful enough. It seems like there should be an easier way do do all this.
Please see <a href="http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=43981">my post</a>. -

The JACC specification covers the integration of JAAS authorization into J2EE.
It is mandatory for J2EE 1.4 containers and optional for J2EE 1.3.
It would be really helpful to get support for it in JBoss.
