My understanding is that JBoss Cache 1.4.x does not support an absolute time based eviction policy. JBoss Cache 2.x does. Unfortunately, we are using JBoss 4.2.2 GA at our work and this version of JBoss AS doesnot support or work with JBoss Cache 2.x. Even if it could, the jgroups.jar used by JBoss Cache 2.x will conflict with jgroups used by the JBoss. Is there a well-defined way to resolve these conflicts? I would think that the best approach is to support this eviction policy in JBoss Cache 1.4.x.
