1. Re: Does Richfaces conflict with conditional comments?
sergeysmirnov Oct 3, 2007 11:42 AM (in response to bram_)do you see this code if you look at the source code in the browser?

2. Re: Does Richfaces conflict with conditional comments?
bram_ Oct 3, 2007 11:49 AM (in response to bram_)Nope, it's not rendered to the html, even if using IE.
I guess JSF considers it comment, even if it would be
conditional comment for IE. -
3. Re: Does Richfaces conflict with conditional comments?
sergeysmirnov Oct 3, 2007 11:59 AM (in response to bram_)So, TIDY filter dislikes it. You need to switch to the NEKO or NONE filter if you sure you can create a falid code by yourself. Otherwise, use another method to prevent the IE bug.

bram_ Oct 3, 2007 12:07 PM (in response to bram_)Ermh.... filter? TIDY?
How do I do that?
Is there some way to prevent JSF from evaluating
the code, like html's pre-tag? -
5. Re: Does Richfaces conflict with conditional comments?
bram_ Oct 4, 2007 3:36 AM (in response to bram_)We currently use the Seam filter (org.jboss.seam.servlet.SeamFilter).
I've switched to org.ajax4jsf.FastFilter which is based on the NEKO parser
(see http://labs.jboss.com/file-access/default/members/jbossrichfaces/freezone/docs/devguide/en/html/FAQ.html)
but to no avail. The comment is filtered out and not inserted in the html.
I;ve also tried f:verbatim, but the comment is still filtered out.
Any other suggestions?
Thanks anyway. -
6. Re: Does Richfaces conflict with conditional comments?
sergeysmirnov Oct 4, 2007 12:13 PM (in response to bram_)NEKO filter does not correct anything except inserting TBODY into TABLE if missing. Ok, try to set filter to NONE. If it does not help, the problem is not in the RichFaces filter.

sergeysmirnov Oct 4, 2007 5:33 PM (in response to bram_)BWT, read Dev Guide, Section#5.5. "Filter Configuration" about the filter configuration.
