1. Re: How about a CVS Module?
timothyb Sep 15, 2003 10:13 PM (in response to cwstanton)I definetly like the idea. Maybe I will do some research and see what kind of java code is out there that works with CVS. For starters eclipse.

cwstanton Sep 15, 2003 11:36 PM (in response to cwstanton)I had the same thought. Eclipse has a library, and NetBeans has a library. The NetBeans library is actually more readily packaged/marketed for use in third party products.
Does the JBoss development team have a take on using third party libraries? Would this be better as a non-JBoss developed module? -

timothyb Sep 16, 2003 10:40 AM (in response to cwstanton)I think you have to look at the particular license involved, some licenses are compatible and others are not. For instance I don't think you can take LGPL code and put it under an Apache license.
I noticed the Eclipse people inserted a notice file saying they had made a derivative work of some Ant modules and included the Ant license.
Maybe if you had a specific question you could post it to the license-discuss mailing list at opensource.org
