1. Re: Custom manifest in packaging config
martin0 Nov 29, 2003 3:01 PM (in response to shorero)I have the same issue.
I note that in ant, the jar task can take a manifest attribute - a manifest file which seems to get merged into the resulting final manifest in the jar file. I can't see how to put that attribute in the packaging-build.xml generated by packaging configuration.
Did you work it out?
Thanks

letiemble Dec 1, 2003 4:33 AM (in response to shorero)Hi,
Simply add a file in your packaging configuration. The file must be named "MANIFEST.MF" and have a target "META-INF".
You can take a look at the standard configuration.

4. Re: Custom manifest in packaging config
guix Dec 1, 2003 9:49 AM (in response to shorero)I must be blind, deaf and mute but still can't make the packaging to inlcude my manifest after reviewing all the posts.... Here is an excerpt of my .packaging file:
this generates the following entry on the packaging-build-xml
but this *still* does not include my manifest file.
JBoss IDE soes NOT allow me to add the file from Project Properties- packaging confgurations. Anything I select from within the project appears on the list but the file field is blank. So I actually have to modify the .packaging file directly. External files do work though.
Please tell me I am just not worthy and I am making something ssssstupid....

5. Re: Custom manifest in packaging config
martin0 Dec 1, 2003 12:04 PM (in response to shorero)you need to add a file called MANIFEST.MF to you project. Note MF, not INF
Then in packagaging config, add this file to the jar - make sure the prefix is correct - ie META-INF
Process to add a file from the project is
1 from packaging config, select the jar you are configuring
2 right click, add file
3 click project file
4 select project file (MANIFEST.MF)
5 fill in prefix (META-INF)
