rich datatable and empty cells in IE6

The new version of RichFaces 3.1.1-GA is not displaying the dataTable cells do not get rendered properly as in the previous version. Ie is egnoring empty-cells: show;. The following link shows how to workaround . . .

However, it targets other empty cells on the page which throws out my formatting so I will have to stick with the previous version for now. So I just wanted to bring this to your attention.

if you add 'border-collapse:collapse' to the table then the 'empty-cells:show' works fine.

Thank you zeltner, that is true regarding collapse. But this is still all a workaround. I would like the empty cells to have the boarders regardless if they are empty or not. As they used to be in previous RichFaces versions.
