1. Re: MIKE: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMAIL-52
mikezzz Aug 10, 2005 3:49 AM (in response to acoliver)I haven't tackled it yet. I am a little tempted to push JBMAIL-52 out to M4 to make sure I can get the other relaying stuff working.
I've coded the domain based stuff and handling of source routed addresses, but haven't tested it yet. I still have ip based relaying to do. I've had to throw a bit of time towards getting the build test task to run after the installer changes.
JBMAIL-52:
When deliverying an email currently the SMTPSender get the domain of the email address then looks up the MX records for that domain and delivers the mail to that server. Using a smart host allows all mail to be delivered via another server. Essentially it amounts to allowing JBMail to be a relay client as well as a relay server.

2. Re: MIKE: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMAIL-52
acoliver Aug 10, 2005 9:15 AM (in response to acoliver)okay, M4 it is. Of course I think M4 needs some trimming as I want to get it out in 1 mo. Could use your help deciding what to push. Definitely want IMAP list dirs/basic list mail type stuff for TBird.
I think I pushed relaying to M4 anyhow... -

4. Re: MIKE: http://jira.jboss.com/jira/browse/JBMAIL-52
mikezzz Aug 10, 2005 1:42 PM (in response to acoliver)Relaying by domain is close. Relaying by IP isn't started. We could push that out to M4.
