      Dear all,

      I am a newbie. I installed jboss by running run.bat from cmd line and the followings are the last few lines of the cmd prompt:

      19:00:55,254 INFO [AjpProtocol] Starting Coyote AJP/1.3 on ajp-0.0.0.0-8009
      19:00:55,274 INFO [ServerImpl] JBoss (Microcontainer) [5.0.0.Beta1 (build: CVST
      ag=https://svn.jboss.org/repos/jbossas/tags/JBoss_5_0_0_Beta1 date=200611191849)
      ] Started in 45s:575ms

      is my server up and ok. do I need anything else to do?

      will my jboss server stops once I stop the command line prompt?

      Kind regards,

      Al

          Yes, the server is now up and running. To access it, open a browser and point it to http://localhost:8080.

          And yes, if you close the command prompt, then the server will go away.

          Also, you are running a very old beta of 5.0. You should either download and use 5.0.0.CR1, or go back to 4.2.2.
