news module

Is it possible to get a display of news articles and indexes from the news module without the rest of the theme applied, for instance with html you can access it with http://host/nukes/modules/html/fileid.


I would like to make a news section similar to the one on jboss.org but rather than using html to update the news, I want to use the news module, and I want to display the index on the main index without having to click it from the main menu.


Any suggestions?

yes it could be possible but it's not implemented yet (and that is a good idea). We have to rework completely the news module though.

Im looking for a project to do a little learning on how to write nukes modules, so I will take a look at working with it, but I have a feeling it might be a little out of my league.
