Tmplate support in nukes-2.x

I have written the front end to my application using nukes.
What I would like to know is how musch of the templating system will be implemented in portal-2.x.
I would like to continue using this system if possible because it is precompiled unlike most template packages.
Will there be some kind of wrapper class?

actually it is already here but in another form. it uses a jsp taglib instead of the previous format.

if you really like it, it can be extracted from nukes and released as standalone because it does not depend much on the core of nukes.
