adrian.brock Jan 23, 2006 10:00 AM (in response to tom.baeyens)Download the standlone release, look at the lib folder.
Alex is going to remove the Xerces dependency.
But since we are moving to schemas, you'll still need a schema enabled sax parser
i.e. not crimson. -

aloubyansky Jan 23, 2006 10:48 AM (in response to tom.baeyens)I think, if you can avoid namespaces and other schema features in your XML then it should not be a requirement for the SAX parser to support schemas.

tom.baeyens Jan 24, 2006 3:05 AM (in response to tom.baeyens)i'm using the JVM build-in JAXP dom parser to extract information from the process definition xml files. i'm dependent on namespaces and schemas. this seems to work with namespaces the JVM for jBPM. should i be expecting some problem with this ?
or does the problem only occur in pre 1.4.2 JVMs ?
is there any more alaborate description of this problem ?

4. Re: library dependencies
adrian.brock Jan 25, 2006 5:30 AM (in response to tom.baeyens)The current problem is that Alex uses some Xerces classes
to get the schema model (in particular annotations).
This dependency needs to be removed, probably by forking these classes into JBossXB?
The other problems is the use of DOM level3 classes
(or at least referencing the interfaces at compile time) which we will need
to provide an implementation of when using JDK1.4
Currenty they come from the xerces jars.

This is really a topic for that thread. -
