1. Re: rich:jQuery basic usage question
sergeysmirnov Nov 29, 2007 12:48 PM (in response to bruno.arruda)rich:jQuery should not generate this code. The $ is reserved by prototype.js . So, something wrong in you configuration.
I did no see the sense to set focus on all "input" components on the page. For right syntax of jQuery, see the jQuery doc. -
2. Re: rich:jQuery basic usage question
bruno.arruda Nov 29, 2007 2:37 PM (in response to bruno.arruda)sorry for not making the example clear enought, the first code is how I use it with standard jquery and focusFields() is function of a plugin that sets some properties for the inputs. I just want to know how to call a simple function on a selector.
thanks in advance, -
3. Re: rich:jQuery basic usage question
sergeysmirnov Nov 29, 2007 2:51 PM (in response to bruno.arruda)The value of selector is wrapped with jQuery(), then the value of query is added after period. So, the second variant is right. It should be:
jQuery(document).ready(function(){
jQuery("input").focusFields();
});
as a result. Can you see it in the browser source code window? -
4. Re: rich:jQuery basic usage question
bruno.arruda Nov 29, 2007 3:33 PM (in response to bruno.arruda)yes I can see it..
I was able to make it work with the second variation, it was my mistake on another part of the code, sorry for the waste of time :-/
thanks again Sergey
