1. "if it existed" in my original post obviously implies it does NOT exist and NEEDS to exist

3. It's cut off but my modalPanel is resizable (but it's varchar(1000) field so eventually you run out of screen space possibly) -

Try css white-space attribute (with values normal or pre). Perhaps it helps...
