1. Re: Need JDK1.5 to build JBossCache distro
jerrygauth Feb 13, 2006 7:34 AM (in response to ben.wang)Well you can't use "build jar" either but this is only a problem after a "build clean".
This isn't a serious problem as the workaround is trivial - manually add the output/classes-50 directory. -

ben.wang Feb 13, 2006 11:30 PM (in response to ben.wang)Ok, it is a bug and I have just fixed it. Thanks!

3. Re: Need JDK1.5 to build JBossCache distro
jerrygauth Mar 10, 2006 7:34 AM (in response to ben.wang)I just updated my JBoss Cache 1.3 source code and noted that the build fails again with a JDK 1.4 compiler as a test class requires the use of java.util.concurrent.Semaphore.

4. Re: Need JDK1.5 to build JBossCache distro
belaban Mar 10, 2006 7:43 AM (in response to ben.wang)We should not use util.concurrent, why don't you change it to use EDU.utilk.concurrent ?

5. Re: Need JDK1.5 to build JBossCache distro
jerrygauth Mar 10, 2006 8:09 AM (in response to ben.wang)Turned out that the java.util.concurrent.Semaphore import was unused so I just removed it.

6. Re: Need JDK1.5 to build JBossCache distro
ben.wang Mar 11, 2006 10:52 AM (in response to ben.wang)Sorry, that Semaphore was added by intelliJ by accident for my benchmark class and, of course, I was compiling using JDK1.5.
So we may have a good reason to ask QA to do build for JBossCache in both JDK1.4 and 5.0 then.
