HTML editor enforces the DTD like XML - can it be a bit less

The HTML editor is quite picky about enforcing the DTD - all tags must have end tags or I get errors flagged for the file.

      EX:

Now I know that it's just enforcing some rule and that I could ignore the bright red X on the file - but that's really hard to do, and not encourging me to good pratices. Or some would say I could be more conforming and end the tags.

Is there some way to configure the editor to be a bit more lenient in the case of HTML? Or perhaps change the error to a warning.

Just trying to help make it better - I like the job your doing - GREAT WORK!!
