1.5M2 Hot Swap on new methods

I just hot swap to work in Eclipse. I can alter a method body and save the file and the hot swap succeeds. However, I was not able to add a new method to a class and save and have that method invoked. Is the hot swap fairly limited with regards to what it will replace?

that is how hot swapping works on all the JDKs i know of.

I don't quite understand. Do you mean that it will *won't* recognize new methods, nor will any hot swapper or that it *should* reecognize new methods.

It won't on current technology, but it could.
