Updates to EJB3 TrailBlazer?

I am curious if there are updates to the EJB3 TrailBlazer that makes it work without the @Inject. Apparently that has changed and been removed from the spec but as a new EJB 3.0 developer I am uncertain of how to adapt the tutorial.
