Never been able to launch JBoss inside Eclipse

I have never been able to launch JBoss inside Eclipse in my Windows Environment. I have used Eclipse 3.0 JDK1.4.2_06 JBoss-IDE1.4 and JBossAS4.0.2 with no luck. Then upgraded to Eclipse 3.1 JDK1.4.2_06 JBoss-IDE1.4, but that caused more problems as the Eclipse API was broken.

Now, I upgraded to Eclipse 3.1.1, JDK1.5, JBoss-IDE1.5M3, and JBoss4.0.3RC2, with still the same issues.

Macintosh environment works fine, just Windows. What could I be doing wrong?

I configure the debug environment with JBoss4.0.3 and choose my root directory, and the "default" server configuration. Then, I choose, in my JBoss-IDE preferences, which server to launch.

After adding the Default Server Launch toolbar, I keep getting the same results.
      ----------------------
Java Virtual Machine Launcher: Could not find the main class. Program will exit.

      Error: Cannot connect to VM

      And my console shows:
      java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: and
      Exception in thread "main"
      ----------------------

What on earth am I doing wrong?

      Thanks in advance!
