JBoss Tolls HTML editor - where did the source and visual ta

I've just updated to JBDS 1.1.0.GA which uses JBoss Tools 2.1.2.GA

Now when I open a xhtml file with the JBoss Tools HTML editor, the only tabs available are: "Visual/Source" and "Preview"

Where did the "pure" Source and "pure" Visual tabs go??..

I almost never use the visual tab, and yes, I could minimize the Visual part in the Visual/Source tab, but that setting is not remembered the next time I open the file, and it is a pain to use it this way, having to minimize the Visual part every time I open a xhtml file :-( :-(

Is this absence of the 2 tabs "Visual" and "Source" intended?.. if yes: WHY???

hmm.. yes, that looks like a usable workaround..

Only one problem.. that feature is not available in my JBDS 1.1.0.GA (JBoss Tools 2.1.2) !

:-(

And I still wonder.. in JBoss Tools up to 2.0.0 (for instance in JBDS 1.0) the JBoss Tools HTML editor had 4 tabs (visual/source, visual, source and preview).. why not keep them?

SO: still a problem.. sorry.

But thanks for pointing out the jira issue.. seems I'm not the only one wondering what happened :-)

it was removed since the splitpane functonallity makes the src tab redundant. You can set it up to be just what you like it to be - including just show source by default to avoid waiting for xulrunner to start.

Anyhow - we will bring back the src tab since it seems like what most people likes to have even though its redundant ;)

Yes sir.. bringing back the src tab is the way to go :-)

BTW: I already set Eclipse/JBDS up to start all multi tab editors on the source tab, but in the JBT HTML editor that still leaves you with a split pane editor.. because there is no src only tab.

And the above mentioned feature of setting the split pane to 100% src is not available in my JBDS 1.1 even though it's got v. 2.1.2 of the tools in the belly?.. strange..

But bring back the src tab, and I'm happy ;-)
