1. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
snjeza Feb 24, 2009 5:01 PM (in response to sacauskis)You seem to use GNU Java that isn't supported by Eclipse.
Try to install Sun JDK >= 1.5. -

3. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
snjeza Feb 24, 2009 5:23 PM (in response to sacauskis)gnu/getopt/LongOpt is a GNU Java class.
Check your PATH or call "java -version" from the command line (suppose that you are using Linux). -

5. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
snjeza Feb 24, 2009 5:49 PM (in response to sacauskis)Check the JAVA_HOME environment variable
echo $JAVA_HOME
It should be set in the directory where you installed Sun JDK.
Try the following:
export JAVA_HOME=<SUN_JDK_BASE_DIR>
eclipse
where <SUN_JDK_BASE_DIR> is the directory in which you installed Sun JDK. -
6. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
sacauskis Feb 24, 2009 5:55 PM (in response to sacauskis)I'm running in eclipse on windows. I'm definitely using the sun java. I also have jdk_1.6.0_06 installed I switch to that one and get the same crash. The crash is occuring in jboss code which seems to indicate that jboss is dependent on the gnu jar.

10. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
peterj Feb 24, 2009 7:34 PM (in response to sacauskis)You could be picking up the GNU JAR file from the classpath. Try adding the "-verbose:class" option to JAVA_OPTS in the wsconsume.sh script - this will print out the location of the JAR file for each class loaded. This might point to the stray JAR file.

12. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
sacauskis Feb 24, 2009 8:25 PM (in response to sacauskis)I followed your video, when I get to the part about creating the WSDL, I don't get the deploying to server. All that happens is that I get an empty wsdl file.

13. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
snjeza Feb 24, 2009 9:47 PM (in response to sacauskis)You need to provide (create) a wsdl file. For the testing purpose, you can grab this one http://www.eclipse.org/webtools/jst/components/ws/M3/tutorials/resources/TopDownWebService/AreaService.wsdl
Save it somewhere in your project. -
14. Re: Crash When Trying to do example
sacauskis Feb 25, 2009 11:48 AM (in response to sacauskis)I followed your example and no joy, I get the same stack trace. There must be something wrong with my environment. I'm going to try and reinstall JTools. A side question. In the example in http://docs.jboss.org/tools/3.0.0.CR1/en/ws_ref_guide/html/topdown.html it talks about creating a facet but doesn't explain what menu items you need to access to get to it. Where exactly is it?
Thanks for your help.
