1. Re: Automatic republish don't work
maxandersen May 5, 2009 2:49 PM (in response to ngabe81)Republish does wor, but for session beans changes you a restart of the application (just click the "Touch/finger" icon in the toolbar)
Restart of server is not needed. -
2. Re: Automatic republish don't work
ngabe81 May 6, 2009 9:39 AM (in response to ngabe81)Thank you for your advise. I've tried it out but it don't have any effect. Same behavior as previous: the old functionality of the session bean is already active. I don't know if I click the right button. It has the tooltip "touch decriptors". I'm a absolute beginner in EJB and JBoss so that I don't know what to do.

4. Re: Automatic republish don't work
ngabe81 May 6, 2009 12:01 PM (in response to ngabe81)The *.class files in the filesystem have the new timestamp of the modification time. In the console output of JBoss there is no new message after the server start and the first call.

5. Re: Automatic republish don't work
ngabe81 May 6, 2009 12:12 PM (in response to ngabe81)I've tested another way. If I remove and readd the EJB project in the server view, it will works with the new code modification. Maybe it's a solution for my problem but a little bit circuitous. Is there an easier way?

6. Re: Automatic republish don't work
maxandersen May 6, 2009 12:26 PM (in response to ngabe81)does the application.xml file have a new timestamp ?
The touch finger should update this to trigger a restart. -
7. Re: Automatic republish don't work
ngabe81 May 6, 2009 12:52 PM (in response to ngabe81)There is no application.xml. I've created the EJB project and the session bean with the eclipse wizards. Is there any other wizard which I have to execute?

8. Re: Automatic republish don't work
maxandersen May 6, 2009 7:48 PM (in response to ngabe81)no descriptor file, then you need to redeploy to get it to restart.

9. Re: Automatic republish don't work
ngabe81 May 7, 2009 3:51 AM (in response to ngabe81)Now, I've created a deployment descriptor stub ejb-jar.xml. If I update this file manuelly, jboss will update the deployed classes. The finger button in eclipse has no effect. I think this is not the best solution but I can work with their. Thank you for your help!

maxandersen May 7, 2009 5:07 AM (in response to ngabe81)Could please report in jira with a attached project so we can get that touch finger to work ? It is a bug if it doesn't.
