1. Re: JBoss support in Eclipse
akazakov May 14, 2009 6:12 AM (in response to ayub.hp)You have to install Eclipse WTP/Data Tools... as well.
Eclipse IDE for Java EE Developers http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-ide-java-ee-developers/ganymedesr2 contains all you need.
See http://www.jboss.org/tools/download/installation.html for more info. -

maxandersen May 14, 2009 7:41 AM (in response to ayub.hp)...and yes, JBoss Developer Studio is the product that bundles this and make it work out-of-the-box.
JBoss Tools is just the plugins. -
3. Re: JBoss support in Eclipse
ayub.hp May 14, 2009 8:01 AM (in response to ayub.hp)I have installed Eclipse Ganymede 3.4.2 and JBoss tools 3.0.1 GA,
I am setting JBoss server 4.0.5 in test environment, however the server is not starting. I get server not started within 50seconds error. I have increased the start time of server, still issue persists. I am using JDK 1.5.6
Could any one suggest some tips on resolving this issue ?
Thanks and Regards

peterj May 15, 2009 2:01 PM (in response to ayub.hp)Have you changed the ports that JBoss AS uses? If you have, then unless you also change the config within Eclipse, the tools will not recognize that the app server has started.
When you start the app server in Eclipse, the Console View should shows the console log output, the last line of which will be the "started in" line. Are you seeing that line? If not, what is in the Console View? Please post it. -

ochikvina May 18, 2009 3:11 AM (in response to ayub.hp)Also you can try to change the Startup poller to Timeout poller in the server editor.
How to do it see our docs (the 'Server editor' section)
