daniel.soneira Jan 16, 2008 6:21 AM (in response to pdaniel)I don't know if it matters, but I don't see a <from-view-id> in your faces-config. You could try it this way:
<navigation-rule> <from-view-id>*</from-view-id> <navigation-case> <from-outcome>newdocument</from-outcome> <to-view-id>/portlets/myportlet/jsf/newdocument.jspx</to-view-id> </navigation-case> </navigation-rule>

dkarr Jan 20, 2008 11:49 AM (in response to pdaniel)Do you know that the post passed the validation stage successfully? If validation failed, would the navigation be processed?

5. Re: commandLink/commandButton problem
sergeysmirnov Jan 20, 2008 11:56 AM (in response to pdaniel)right, if you have a problem with navigation, the first thing you have to check is how application comes though the lifecycle. If validation is failed, no reason to spend time playing with navigation rules stuff.

11. Re: commandLink/commandButton problem
sergeysmirnov Jan 22, 2008 10:02 AM (in response to pdaniel)You need to check somehow how the JSF lifecycle is passed during this Ajax request. Set up a phase listener and see for passing phases. The 5th phase should be passed for invoking the action and action methods.
