3. Re: ModalPanel default position
jbuechel Feb 1, 2008 4:46 AM (in response to carlhowarth)Do you use the <a4j:commandButton> ?
I'm facing a similar issue.
A modal panel should be displayed in order to display faces messages and only if at least one is present. (rendered="#{! empty facesContext.maximumSeverity}")
This works fine as long as the previous request was an ajax one.. But if i use a <h:commandButton> it's positioned in the upper left corner...
Unfortunately i need to use the <h:commandButton> because there's a file upload inside.
In my case it works correctly on ie7 but not on firefox.. -
4. Re: ModalPanel default position
carlhowarth Feb 1, 2008 5:03 AM (in response to carlhowarth)I think that must be a different problem - I launch the panels using an a4j:command link but changing it does not seem to make a difference. I've only tested in IE6 vs Firefox.

jbuechel Feb 1, 2008 5:13 AM (in response to carlhowarth)Ok, I see...
Btw, there is a similar thread:
http://www.jboss.com/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=129018
Anyway maybe this helps somehow. My working code of the modal panel is as follows:<rich:modalPanel id="#{dialogHtmlId}" rendered="#{rendered}" autosized="true" width="#{fwcWidth}" showWhenRendered="true">
The difference is maybe between opening the modal panel by onclick-js or by showWhenRendered... -
