Possible to use EJB 3.0 Entity beans outside of application

I heard that the new POJO persistence in EJB 3.0 will be usable outside of an application server (i.e. in a standalone application) and will be put into a future version J2SE, not just J2EE. Does anyone know if this is true?

This is true and I'm pretty sure it will be covered under the EJB 3.0 JSR (jsr220). The details aren't done yet though
