Data in Oracle is missed when I deploy an entity bean in JBo

When I do the example in jboss-EJB-3.0_Preview_4->singleinheritance connected with Oracle 10g, I input data to Oracle before deploy into JBoss, but after I execute ant and deployed, the data is missed. Why?

when I use hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto=create-update,
it is soluted.
