1. Re: Error using sequence generator
epbernard Apr 14, 2005 4:17 PM (in response to epbernard)OK I've seen your next post.
This is weird are you 100% positive you use the exact same name? No extyra space, no extra caps etc -
2. Re: Error using sequence generator
huber Apr 15, 2005 1:37 AM (in response to epbernard)I have checked the names, they are the same
Any other idea? -
3. Re: Error using sequence generator
epbernard Apr 15, 2005 4:00 AM (in response to epbernard)Hum... I don't see how it differs from
http://cvs.sourceforge.net/viewcvs.py/hibernate/HibernateExt/metadata/test/org/hibernate/test/annotations/id/Store.java?rev=1.1&view=auto
This one work and is part of the annotations test suite -
4. Re: Error using sequence generator
huber Apr 18, 2005 7:13 AM (in response to epbernard)I don't see any difference either.
I have tried out your Store.java from your testsuite, but I get the same errormessage:
12:50:07,746 ERROR [AnnotationConfiguration] Could not compile the mapping annotations
org.hibernate.AnnotationException: Unknown Id.generator: SEQ_STORE
at org.hibernate.cfg.AnnotationBinder.bindId(AnnotationBinder.java:1113)

...
I can also use @Id(generate = GeneratorType.SEQUENCE) annotation without a generator name, but I would like to use an existing schema with existing sequences in my PostgreSQL DB.
Do you have any furher ideas?
Thanks for your efforts. -
5. Re: Error using sequence generator
epbernard Apr 18, 2005 8:26 AM (in response to epbernard)Open a JIRA issue, we need to check that.

6. Re: Error using sequence generator
lhoriman Jun 1, 2005 3:05 PM (in response to epbernard)Tracing through in the debugger, the @SequenceGenerator annotation isn't showing up on the Class. Is it possible that the annotation is somehow defined incorrectly?
Thanks,
Jeff -
7. Re: Error using sequence generator
epbernard Jun 1, 2005 4:37 PM (in response to epbernard)Hum interesting. If the annotation is not annotated with @Retention(RUNTIME), it will do what you describe.
Maybe the ejb-api is buggy.
