Howto implement a background thread

Hi!

I want to implement a background thread. EJB 3 has a timer that would be ok for this job (like "call me in 5 minutes"), but how can I initialize this timer for example in a Statless bean?

Hi Bill,

sorry, I read this document. This does not describe a solution to my problem: I want to make the session bean activate itself after deployment. The sample above only works after the client has requested the bean once!
