1. Re: JSF 1.1/1.2 Support in future Versions
fmarwede Feb 7, 2008 9:00 AM (in response to stevoffm)In JIRA you can already see issues for 3.1.5 so the unofficial answer of a hopefully well-informed user is YES. But let's wait for the official statement...

fmarwede Feb 7, 2008 9:03 AM (in response to stevoffm)Look at the statement from Sergey Smirnov:
http://www.jboss.org/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=115879&start=20
So the right question is: How many 3.1.x releases are planned? -
3. Re: JSF 1.1/1.2 Support in future Versions
stevoffm Feb 7, 2008 11:24 AM (in response to stevoffm)Yah thats in fact the right question. How strong will the support and maintenance for 3.1.X Versions be? Will it fade out and die silently?! Thats the case most of the times...
I mean its good to move on to JSF1.2 and stuff but if you're froced to use JSF1.1 then you can't do nothing about it and you'll not be able to enjoy the new features and bugfixes... -
4. Re: JSF 1.1/1.2 Support in future Versions
sergeysmirnov Feb 7, 2008 12:26 PM (in response to stevoffm)3.1.x is in the maintenance mode. New features are not planned. Bug fixes will be limited to the ones that do not required the development and long-run QA process.
The release of 3.1.5 is possible, but no plans yet.
So far, the next official release is going to be 3.2.0 (end of March) QA will start at the end of Feb. 3.2.x will support JSF 1.2 and JDK 1.5 and up. -
