Hi Alex,
Please help a newbie here.
I have followed the steps you have described in the above mentioned document. However, I am uncertain what is the setting for
worker.ajp12.host=<<<<<<<<<YOUR SERVERS IP ADDRESS >>>>>>>>>
worker.ajp13.host=<<<<<<<<<YOUR SERVERS IP ADDRESS >>>>>>>>>
What is the server IP i should be using if I am running on my machine only?
I have tried
worker.ajp12.host=http://localhost:8080
worker.ajp13.host=http://localhost:8080
However on running step (10) and (11), all i got was
an "Internal Server Error" generated by Apache.
The ironic thing is it work if I change the testing url
to http://localhost:8080/servlet/test.html and
http://localhost:8080/test.jsp, I do get the error message generated by Tomcat.
So I tried
worker.ajp12.host=http://localhost
worker.ajp13.host=http://localhost
but step (10) and (11) still does not work. Please help
me and give me steps to fix this problem.
Also according to Kerplod on http://www.jboss.org/modules/bb/index.html?module=bb&op=viewtopic&t=forums/ his method requires the creation of the workers2.properties file and put this in the ../apache2/conf directory. Must i do that also?
Sorry for all these trivial questions. Please advise
Sincere thanks -

It's supposed to be an IP address - i.e. the address of your machine - not a URL.

Hi Alex,
Thanks for replying. I am running JBoss, Tomcat etc
on my own machine only, not in any network.
So I guess it will be just my machine name that I get
from ipconfig/all ie the hostname?
worker.ajp12.host=myHostName?
Please advise -

Looks like a a pretty helpful HowTo if you are running Windows, but have you ever tried to implement this configuration in UNIX? I specifically need to implement a JBoss and Apache connection on IBM AIX, and HP Tru64 (formerly known as DEC). Does anyone have any advice on this? The main roadblock that I have run into is that I can not get JK2 to compile on any either of these platforms, and as the JK2 people have been no help, I am searching for alternatives.
Thanks,
