1. Re: Which version of JBoss? Please help!
npavlica Feb 13, 2003 5:48 PM (in response to hdang0821)I would recommend downloading the new 3.0.6 version from sourceforge. It has Jetty built in, and it works very well.

robhedin Feb 13, 2003 6:25 PM (in response to hdang0821)We've found that 3.0.6 (available from SourceForge) appears to work the best for us; This has Jetty built in instead of Tomcat and hasn't given us any problems (so far).

tobias Feb 18, 2003 4:50 PM (in response to hdang0821)The download page of JBoss.org does not always reflect the latest releases. Therefore it might be a good idea to got to http://sf.net/projects/jboss directly and check the files section for newer releases. There are other interesting files in this section also.
For first time users/newbies I would NOT recommend to use alphas, betas or even release candidates (RCx).
Start with stable versions with the latest bug fix release.
From JBoss3 on the servlet engine is integrated into the JBoss package. The servlet engine is Jetty. I would recommend to use these instead of the bundle that has Jetty replaced with Tomcat which are named JBossXXX_TomcatYYY. -
