Where is the 3.0 getting started doc?

The link has been removed since 3.0 series is an old version of JBoss and the guide does not apply to the current 3.2 distribution series. There's a new 'Getting Started' guide being worked on at the moment.

If you still want to read the 3.0 version you can get it from the CVS.

Is this a new marketing trick? I'm a student and I would like to get started with JBoss. But buying expensive books when there could be (even non-uptodate) free documentation is not what I had in mind.

Follow the link at the top to 'Docs', then click on the 'JBoss-3.0.x Quick Start Guide' link to download the documentation.

Getting Started with 3.2.x is now available. There's a forum dedicated to it under the 'Documentation' group.
