Running JBoss Profiler - start up problems

Hi,

We have a customised version of JBoss on Linux. Am trying to set up the JBoss Profiler for this machine.

I copied the SO files into the directory mentioned by LD_LIBRARY_PATH. And when i execute "java -XrunjbossInspector:/tmp Foo" ,I get the following

/usr/java/jdk1.5.0_09/bin/java -XrunjbossInspector:/tmp Foo
Running process 8941
Exception in thread "main" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: Foo

However, when the Jboss is started, I get the following.

Error occurred during initialization of VM
Could not find agent library on the library path or in the local directory: jbossAgent

Where could I be wrong?

This should answer your questions. A lot of people have successfully used profiler using this wiki.

BTW, CNFE for class Foo is an expected behavior.

I mentioned CFNE only to make it clear that the JBossInspector is found from the shared library.
I know its something simple as the LD_LIBRARY_PATH not getting set. However, I guess I'm oversseing something verysimple. Our JBoss Startup scripts are customised , guess I need to have a closer look at it...May be I need a cup of coffee !
