What is the status of the JBoss Profiler?

What is the status of the JBoss Profiler?

Can it be used as is? What are the output of using it? Are they just the text files?

Well, there are currently two active branches.

JBoss Profiler 2.x: Java 5 profiler with text output -- a web front-end is in development. The agent is 100% Java code and is therefore lacking some functionality. A native agent is in development.

JBoss Profiler 1.x: JVMTI profiler with web front-end.

Both versions can be used depending on your needs.

I think it's worth pointing out that you should make sure you get the latest version from the subversion repository, which is here for JBoss Profiler 2:

http://anonsvn.jboss.org/repos/jbossprofiler/branches/JBossProfiler2

When I downloaded the latest released version of the web application a week or two ago, I couldn't get it to work, but the latest version in the repository does work.

I am having issues on running the latest release 2.

I tried Beta3.SP1 and SVN revision 517. I followed the instructions in the README.txt and can not get it to work.

Which forum should I use?
