I'm going to get a new machine to do general development and testing, and in particular JBOSS development and testing. I'll be using Eclipse as my IDE. My development environment will be Windows XP, vmware and some flavor of Linux. Here's my main concern: is a dual-cpu system desirable. I plan on doing some JBOSS development- that is not as a j2ee developer, but as a devloper of JBOSS. I'm concerned that I balance testing threading, but I don't want to subject myself to other's thread issues!
I'm planning on doing my development and testing on this single machine (unless I'm convinced otherwise).
