Bill has done some great work in making the core aop engine work outside of jboss.

Now we need to go to the next step and supply some pre-written aspects.
Currently these are only available inside the JBoss Application Server.

One set of aspects is to provide the GOF (Gang of Four) patterns as aspects
so you don't have to write all the boiler plate code these patterns require.

One is already implemented org.jboss.aop.patterns.observerable.
