1. Re: Http listener client side - esb clients
marklittle Sep 26, 2006 5:38 AM (in response to jokum)Maybe I'm missing something, but why can't the client (which presumably is being hosted in the ESB) send an HTTP request directly to the service (again hosted on the ESB) and that request contains the work to be done. Sure, sending a reference to the work is one approach which may be right if it's a large message, but direct interactions should be the default where possible.

2. Re: Http listener client side - esb clients
jokum Sep 26, 2006 5:50 AM (in response to jokum)Ok,
Implementing a 'client' whitin the ESB is no problem. Any preferred package because I think this is not done yet in the current source tree...
How should we name these things? -
3. Re: Http listener client side - esb clients
marklittle Sep 26, 2006 5:52 AM (in response to jokum)I'd create a branch in the workspace section to start with (talking to IT to get you committer access). For now, copy the format that is used for FTP and the GPListener I suppose.

jokum Sep 26, 2006 7:36 AM (in response to jokum)Thanks.
I implemented the HttpInvocationListener based on the GPListener and the poller implementations. -

tfennelly Sep 26, 2006 8:09 AM (in response to jokum)Just a clarification... if you're creating a branch, make sure you're creating it from the trunk.
