Jboss 4.0.2 drop/delete my Entity Bean - Table at startup

Hi,

i tried the EJB 3.0 examples with mysql. I store my objects in the database and this works very well. But with every startup of the Application Server the table is dropped with this statement: "drop table if exists Author" (Author is my Entity). How can i preserve the server to drop the table at every startup???

%JBOSS_HOME%/server/default/deploy/ejb3.deployer/META-INF

(default should be whatever server config you use: default, all, etc...)

You should find a persistence.properties. In that there is a field called:

hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto

It contains values such as create-drop, create, etc... Change that to your liking. Take a peek at the EJB3 TrailBlazer and the sections about deployment. I believe they speak to this a bit more. Specifically:
