Could someone explain to me some of the pro and cons of the various id GeneratorTypes for JBoss EJB3 entities? I'm designing an app to run on SQLServer 2000 and was going to just use identity ids. However, a seperate issue has cropped up and it may not be possible for me to use identity so I was curious what others are using to generate id values and what the performance is like. What are the pro and cons of using one GeneratorType over another?
