Unable to Drag and Drop onto tabPanel

I can't seem to get drag and drop working onto a tab panel. I am draging an element from a tree into a tab panel which contains the dropSupport. No matter ho I configure it the drop value is always null.
Both the tree and tab panel are in the same form.
I can put the dropSupport outside the tab and it works fine so it is definately something to do with the dropSupport inside the tab.
Anyway to get this to work?

As a work around I was able to use the nodeSelection event to figure oiut what node they are on before the dnd event. This is still not a good solution since the user must click on the node first before drag and drop.
