2. Re: Binding to a bean in a jsp page
ablevine1 Apr 24, 2006 3:43 PM (in response to anotherray)How did you get the jstl core taglib to work?? When I use the following taglib statementL
<%@ taglib prefix="c" uri="http://java.sun.com/jsp/jstl/core" %>
I get an error saying that there is no taglib that corresponds to the uri:
I also tried using the uri "http://java.sun.com/jstl/core" which didn't work either. I am using jboss-4.0.4.CR2 which has jstl.jar in the deploy/jbossweb-tomcat55.sar/jsf-libs/ directory. Is there something extra that I need to do to get it to find the taglib?? -
3. Re: Binding to a bean in a jsp page
bdecoste Apr 25, 2006 2:07 PM (in response to anotherray)I suspect your lookup is incorrect. The default jndi binding is "ear-name/bean-name/remote". In this case you have the lookup containing thebean interface name (ItemDAO). If Item is the session bean interface and ItemBean is the bean class, the lookup would be:
Item item = (Item)ctx.lookup("wsmp/ItemBean/remote");
The packaging should contain the .war and ejb3 .jar in wsmp.ear. Since you are doing a lookup in the global jndi tree, there is no need for a reference in web.xml. -

Have you checked that the jstl implementation is within your classpath?
if you use the jakarta impl. ensure that the standard.jar is there...
