Richfaces behind reverse proxy not working

hello,

im writing a richfaces-app (3.1.4, faclets). If i run the app with http://localhost:8080/foobar (deployed foobar.war) ... all is working fine but if i call the application through a reverse proxy (e.g. http://remotserver.xxx/abc/defg/foobar) then the css/script-resources missing and a4j is not working.

i try to use a customized view-handler (http://javanotepad.blogspot.com/2007/04/problem-sometimes-application-servers.html)
but this is not working right now :-(

any ideas?
