I do not think that changing the cascade-type of the relation will solve the problem since that does not influence the join-table, does it?
my mapping looks like this:public class PrivilegeProfile implements Serializable { .... @ManyToMany @JoinColumn(name = "privilige_profile_id") private Set<Privilege> privileges = new HashSet<Privilege>(); ...

I still can not delete Entities from ManyToMany relations. what do I do wrong? any clues?
