How to turn off "Auto Table Generation" at deployment?

Hi,

how can I disable "Auto Table Generation" when deploying my EAR ? I would like the tables to be created once and then leave them alone - because it shortens the time of my deployments.

In your hibernate.properties or your persistence.xml file you need to set the following:

hibernate.hbm2ddl.auto=update

This will create your schema initially and not drop after your SessionFactory is iinitially closed. It should do 'diffs' for you as well.
