Limited stateless session bean

I have a basic question here:
If I configured pool size for a stateless session bean, let's say 2. What happens to the application if there are 3 clients call the same bean method at the same time? Will the last call be blocked until the bean is released to the pool?

i think the third Client would have to wait until one of the two stateless bean become available.
