2. Re: Right component for the job?
vace117 Apr 7, 2008 10:33 AM (in response to vace117)Ilya, I can't see any toggle components that would be able to toggle data table rows. The difficulty here is that I want this behavior inside the data table, so I need something that can make table rows appear and disappear.
What toggle components do you mean? Thanks. -
3. Re: Right component for the job?
vace117 Apr 7, 2008 11:11 AM (in response to vace117)Also, would it be possible to throw an effect on something inside a datatable? Since the component id will depend on the row, how would we tell <rich:effect /> what the targetId is?

4. Re: Right component for the job?
vace117 Apr 7, 2008 2:17 PM (in response to vace117)ok, I managed to utilize a <rich:subtable /> in order to implement the hideable row in a dataTable. The subtable is shown or hidden by the 'rendered' attribute driven by a hashmap in my backing bean.
Now, if I could only figure out how to apply <rich:effect /> to that subtable, I would be a happy user :) -

sergeysmirnov Apr 7, 2008 4:08 PM (in response to vace117)using rich:jQuery is much suitable for adding effects to table.
